The events of the upcoming week in the ECoC 2016

Come and see the halfway point of the European Capital of Culture Wrocław 2016 cultural events.

“FLOW” – the great happening on the Odra River will start on 11 June!

Flow is a great international cultural event, taking place in the Wrocław city centre and on the Odra River. It will be held on Saturday, 11 June 2016. Come and experience the day full of events, taking place in the middle of Wrocław, concerning the subjects of diasporas, travel and movement of people – symbols and experiences, which are deeply rooted in the city. The Flow programme is divided into two parts. The day part (10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.) will take place in four zones along the banks of the Odra River and is intended for entire families. The residents of Wrocław will have an opportunity to participate in concerts for all ages, impressive dance performances and some fun in the Botanical Garden. In the evening (starting at 10:00 p.m.), a special concert will take place in the space between Piasek Island and Peace Bridge. Four young and talented composers created the elements of the monumental music piece, presenting the city’s history. It will serve as a backbone to an interdisciplinary performance, in which the river and surrounding buildings will play a spectacular and key role. At the end of the day, come to the backyard at Ruska 46, where the Silent Disco will let you dance until dawn!
